Pilgrim's Tulip

Apprenticeship Levy Fund

Tulip has a rich history of supporting the next generation through apprenticeships, graduate programs and training schemes. In 2017, the U.K. government announced the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy. Every U.K. organization with a payroll of £2 million or more is automatically enrolled into the scheme. Tulip’s apprenticeship levy has over £1 million available, and 25% of this is eligible to be transferred to smaller companies to assist them with recruiting and training the next generation.

Tulip has fully embraced this opportunity to give back to the community, and so far has gifted funds totaling over £50,000 to other organizations. We have placed a particular focus on our agricultural partners and assisted them with recruiting apprentices in for the first time, helping them with the entire process. This project continues into 2020 and we aim to continue to build new partnerships and use our expertise in this area to help others to invest in the future of food.
